Yes, that’s right. I’m dying. I have a severe case of the man flu, which means my mouth is dry, my nose is blocked (hey, it’s a pretty big nose to block) and my head is in some mild discomfort. However, before the inevitable onset of death I managed to struggle into the studio to record next Monday’s edition of The Highlight Reel, a task which, I’m sure you’ll agree, warrants some kind of medal. Posthumous honours are cool, though, so I’ll wait. I’m not unreasonable. I’m gutted that I presumably won’t live to hear the broadcast on Monday 15th April (at 11pm GMT on Sine FM, as ever), because it’s another stacked show this week.
- There’s a review of the latest splashing gorefest remake, Evil Dead (note: the trailer below is very graphic!).
- There’s a look at Dwayne Johnson’s latest, and possibly greatest, with the drug ring-infiltrating, true story actioner Snitch.
- There’s also a look back at the other thing The Dwayne has been up to recently, as I venture into the squared circle for a special look at this years’ Wrestlemania, the biggest sports entertainment extravaganza of them all.
- Not only that, but we’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of the greatest films of all time with a retrospective of the Jurassic Park series.
All that, plus the usual mix of news and pop culture talk, all set to an almost offensively good soundtrack including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Less Than Jake and Deftones. It’s my dying wish that you tune in. Go on. You’ll only be sorry you didn’t.
